Miss Universe Slovakia 2011 Dagmar Kolesarova

Dagmar Kolesarova was crowned Miss Universe Slovakia 2011 or Miss Universe Slovenskej Republiky 2011 or Miss Universe Slovak Republic 2011 on March 5, 2011. Dagmar is 20 year old and stands 1.78 m-tall. She will represent Slovakia in in Miss Universe 2011, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on September 12.
The 1st runner-up was Romana Procházková. She is expected to compete in the Miss Earth 2011 competition, probably in the Philippines. Miriama Matúšová was the 2nd runner-up, and she will represent Slovakia in Miss Supranational 2011 to be held in Poland, August 27th.
Slovakia, or Slovak Republic, an independent nation since 1993, has been competing in Miss Universe since 1994. Its first representative, Silvia Lakatošová, was a top 6 finisher in Miss Universe 1994, held in the Philippines.Silvia is the national director of Miss Universe Slovakia today.
After 1994, Slovakia has never again had a semi-finalist in Miss Universe, and Dagmar’s challenge is to end the 17-year-long drought.
