Miss Costa Rica 2011 will be crowned on March 25 at the Auditorio Nacional in Museo de los Niños. Marva Wright, Miss Costa Rica 2010, will pass the crown to her successor at the end of the event. The winner will represent Costa Rica in Miss Universe 2011 pageant.

Ten girls are vying for the crown:
Yensy Arguedas, Sara Correa, Natalia Gómez, Priscilla Hernández, Mariana Loranca, Pamela Peralta, Hekzybat Salazar, Johanna Solano, Karla Spieker y Karla Orozco.

Miss Costa Rica 2011 Marva Wright

Televisora de Costa Rica (which owns the franchise for more than 50 years) selected ten finalists out of 43 candidates for the crown, which will give the honor of being ranked as the most beautiful woman in our country. Those selected are: Yensy Arguedas, Sara Correa, Natalia Gomez, Priscilla Hernandez, Mariana Loranca, Pamela Peralta, Hekzybat Salazar, Johanna Solano, Spieker and Karla Orozco Karla.
The casting for choosing the finalists was held at the Marco Picado study in Teletica facilities in La Sabana, and were chosen by a jury of Hilda Zuniga, Marketing Manager of the contest, Ileana Calvo, the business side; Angel Rafael, makeup and fashion expert on television, and Gabriel Alfaro, manager of Miss Costa Rica image.
As in previous years, all participants had to parade in bathing suit.
The winner will not only have the opportunity to represent the major beauty contests worldwide, but also will be a juicy prize of more than ¢ 3 million in cash, a car of the year, formal dress, casual and sports jewelry, fitness, beauty services, such as makeup and beauty treatments for skin and dental.
In addition, again the ten finalists had to sign a contract with the organization of Miss Costa Rica, in which they pledged to do commercial work, as well as care for their behavior in public and private places.
In early March, the finalists will be presented to all media, where you can photograph and interview each of the candidates of Miss Costa Rica.
